Melissa Serluco, Curra

Mezzo-soprano Melissa Serluco most recently performed with the Bronx Opera as Mistress Quickly cover in Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Sir John in Love. Upcoming engagements include the role of Ruggiero in Handel's Alcina with Operarox Productions and Giannetta in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore with Regina Opera.

 

Last season Melissa enjoyed her role debut as Carmen with Delaware Valley Opera as well as her international debut with New Opera Singapore, portraying the role of Public Opinion in a modernization of Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. Some past credits include Jo in Little Women, Dido in Dido & Aeneas, Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito, Zita in Gianni Schicchi, Siebel in Faust, Meg Page in Falstaff, and Dorothée in Cendrillon. Melissa received her Master of Music from Northwestern University and her Bachelor of Music from Stetson University under the tutelage of W. Stephen Smith and Dr. Craig Maddox.
