Katy Lindhart, Anna

Lauded for her "large, robust, and flexible voice" (Bachtrack) and "sparkling stage presence” (St. Louis Dispatch), Katy Lindhart has delighted audiences across the United States in repertoire ranging from Mozart to Sondheim.

 

In 2022, Katy makes her role and house debut with Opera Omaha as the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd; and returns to Opera in the Heights for her role debut as Tatiana in Eugene Onegin.  Katy's 2020 season began with the world premiere of Zemlinsky's Zimmer for Little Opera Theater of New York, followed by selections from The Shining for the National Arts Club. In March, Katy placed first in Opera Ithaca's Edward M. Murray International Competition of Voice. In 2021, Katy sang Alice Ford in Falstaff in a virtual production for Barn Opera, covered Elena in I vespri Siciliani for New Amsterdam Opera, and Josephine in HMS Pinafore for Barn Opera’s New Year’s Eve celebration.

In the 2018 season, Katy made a role and house debut as Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte for Opera in the Heights and returned to Raylynmor Opera as Micaela in La Tragédie de Carmen. She also returned as a soloist with the New York Choral Society for Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, Mechem’s The Seven Joys of Christmas, and Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem.  Other recent engagements include Lucio Silla for Odyssey Opera, Don Giovanni for Salt Marsh Opera, The Rape of Lucretia for Loft Opera, Glory Denied with Opera Upper West, Faust for Summer Garden Opera, Viva la Mamma! with Florida Lyric Opera, Ainadamar with the Lexington Philharmonic, and Le nozze di Figaro for Opera Columbus and Winter Opera Saint Louis. Katy apprenticed with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Kentucky Opera, Dayton Opera, and Central City Opera. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Simpson College and a Master of Music from the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance.
