Eamon Pereyra, Don Gasparo
Mr. Pereyra is a Houston Native and received his Bachelor's in Vocal Performance from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston and Masters's in Vocal Performance at Florida State University.
Some of Mr. Pereyra's recent roles include: Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Ferrando in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Don Ramiro in Rossini's La Cenerentola, Remendado in Carmen, Jaquino in Fidelio, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Captain MacHeath in Britten’s The Beggar's Opera, Orpheus in Offenbach's Orphée Aux Enfers, Henrik in Sondheim's A Little Night Music.
Some of Mr. Pereyra’s Awards and Scholarships include: Opera Shelfer Scholarship, Richard Joel Scholarship, Tallahassee Music Guild Scholarship and the Glenys Gallaher Award. He was also a Young Artist with Pensacola Opera in their 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 season. Most recently Mr. Pereyra performed a series of concerts with The Hollywood Concert Orchestra in China as well as all across the United States. He will be covering the role of Roméo in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette with ARE Opera. This is his first season with New Amsterdam Opera in which he will be performing Don Gasparo in Donizetti’s La Favorita.
